ellen&jimi {wedding} century hall, fort worth, texas

“You’re about to see Jimi!” one of her bridesmaids pointed out.

I saw her face shift & it was in that moment, the excitement, the anticipation–everything–hit her. This was her wedding day. Her groom with the booming southern voice was downstairs waiting patiently to see her for the first time.

If you read the blog post featuring Ellen’s bridal photos, you’ll know that Ellen & I go way back, so walking with her throughout her wedding day was such a joy & privilege. The number of times I cried was borderline ridiculous.

This wedding was the perfect celebration right before Christmas, intimate, joyful, infectious laughter everywhere, specifically the bride’s. I’ve also decided that any & all downtown weddings must take place at Christmas because of all the twinkle lights in the trees.

Ellen & Jimi, don’t live on the east coast forever. Come back to Texas at some point. We need to plan some more costume parties.
