melanie&brendan {wedding} legacy ranch wedding chapel, fredericksburg, texas

I always preach that engagement sessions are the perfect way for my couples to get to know me & vice versa, but I hadn’t considered how having a rainy engagement session would prep them for a rainy wedding day. Melanie & Brendan took the rain in stride & didn’t let it dampen any spirits; they were pros by this point after all. We were finishing up their first look when we heard the rain coming & took off for shelter. The ceremony was delayed for a while, but that didn’t stop the celebrating. And in a perfect wedding day miracle, the sun came out right at sunset. The ground might have been a bit mushy but everything was fresh & the colors were bright.

I’m not sure which detail was my favorite: Melanie’s amazing shoes, or the fact that she made her own wedding cake.

I don’t think there’s a bigger compliment than a wedding venue owner demanding that you do their daughter’s wedding. Big upgrades are happening there & I can’t wait for my next chance to visit Legacy Ranch.

Melanie & Brendan, you guys have the best smiles for each other. Keep smiling & keep enjoying the rain. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for your marriage!
