megan&clayton {engagements} college station, texas

When we first met, Megan & Clayton told me how much they loved their dogs & wanted them in their engagement photos. Sure! Bring them along! They told me how many they had, what kind they were, they even showed me photos. But I'll be honest & say that I completely forgot all of the above until the day we showed up at the park. I was not prepared. I was even a little terrified at the sound of one of them galloping towards me. As a kid, I was deathly afraid of dogs, so I've come a long way & have even inherited one when I got married. I think my family laughs at me because none of them ever guessed that would be the one to end up with a dog. But, this post is about Megan & Clayton, not me.

We threw around some different park ideas, & they suggested Lick Creek Park. Even though I lived in College Station for 7 years & have done many photo shoots there, I never once discovered Lick Creek Park. We only barely dipped our toes in here because the park is huge & we had a few extra guest stars with us, but we had fun & I love the photos we got there.

Enter, the dogs. They currently have three dogs, but Clayton's parents brought their dog too because she used to belong to Clayton. First photo shoot with four dogs, one of them being a great dane.

If you misbehave, daddy might have to pick you up for a few seconds.

Megan & Clayton wanted some indoor photos at Sweet Eugene's coffee shop, so I thought they loved coffee. No. Neither of them drink coffee but they love their lemonade & smoothies!

To end our day, Kyle Field photos were requested & we happen to get there right at sunset. This was my first session with the new field!
