To Kris’ mom, the pastor said, “This is Courtney. The woman Kris has chosen to spend his life with. Do you promise to love her as a daughter?” *cue all the tears*

I found myself boo-hooing quietly in the back of the ceremony as he asked Courtney’s parents the same thing. (After a brief discussion with her brothers, they finally all agreed.) What a powerful reminder! We’ve all heard it: When you marry someone, you marry their family. But this pastor was reminding everyone that their loved one’s new spouse was their new family, to be treated like their own child or sibling. I love it!

Courtney & Kris, I loved every minute of your wedding, specifically your ceremony. The “food truck” was amazing, your friends are so joyful, & your families are so loving.
